The Trouble with Physics

I've been reading Lee Smolin's The Trouble with Physics this week.So far it has borne much fruit. His background is in quantum gravity so Van Flandern fans will find his thoughts illuminating. In addition, his disection of the many iterations of string theory is very reassuring to those who find string theory as ridiculous as it is elegant.

Been out to the mountains a few times for distracting walks. Last Sunday we went out

to Yoho at the height of the autumn colors. We were transfixed at Takakaw falls watching several climbers scale the cliff face beside the waterfall.

I was wondering when all the physics talk would get around to describing the pictures in your post. I also wonder (as handsome a couple as you make) where are the pictures of the climbers you mention?

You know, you really are a son-of-a-bitch sometimes. This picture of you looks like you havn't slept in a month and your dog just died. I cruise over to Suzanne's blog and I've never seen you look so content/happy. I'm just greatful that there is a woman around you so that I can get a more rounded picture of what's going on in your life.

Sure would be nice to see you.
